Our services
Welcome to our optical, the local-owned optical that has been established in Citrus County since 1965. We are happy to announce that Glasses 2Day has partnered with us to be able to provide SAME DAY glasses to Citrus County.
As one of the oldest median age counties we understand that we do things a little different than many used to. We want to give you the following information: we are a Healthy Eye Care Provider. We do Basic Eye Exams for glasses as that is what we specialize in. Healthy Eye Care is for people that have NO eye disease or symptoms of eye disease. The eyes are examined for any needed correction for glasses but screened for eye disease. We begin children exams at the age of 12. The measurements for glasses are not something that is part of the exam; therefore we do not provide those for outside use.
For our part time residence or anyone else, we do accept outside prescriptions for glasses if you wish to accommodate our excellent Optical expertise. We have a large amount of fashionable frames and high quality lenses at prices you can afford. Let us show you why you want to get your glasses in our Optical!
While reading this you may realize that an Ophthalmologist is the type of Eye Care provider you need. We would rather you know that before scheduling with an optical that does not have an Ophthalmologist as we would not be ablet ot help for the medical exam. (An Ophthalmologist is the medical eye Doctor that treats medical eye conditions and does surgeries) Ophthalmologists are also able to do prescriptions for glasses while doing the exams to treat medical eye conditions and those glasses prescriptions can be filled in our optical.
Below is a list of medical history we recommend you see an Ophthalmologist as we do not do exams to treat the following:
*Double Vision *Eye Infections *Eye Pain *Flashes *Floaters *Loss of Vision *Blindness
*Lazy Eye *Eye Muscle Surgery *Cataract Surgery *Corneal Problems *Glaucoma *Dry Eyes
*Macular Degeneration *Retinal Detachment *Cancer in Eye *High Ocular Pressure
*Diabetic Retinopathy *Uncontrolled Diabetes *Cataracts *Uncontrolled Hypertension *Loss of an eye
*History of any eye Surgery (PRK etc)
